In april 2006 during the mass demonstrations that resulted of the abdication of the king, the initiators of the foundation were in Nepal. 

When they were sitting on a roof terrace in a village outside Kathmandu, Harisiddhi, they realised they wanted to do something on developement.

With the problems in the areas of drinking water, waste water, rain water harvesting and the sanitary situation in the village on one side and the knowledge of the initiators on the other side they decided to work on the sanitation in Harissiddhi 

This resulted in the foundation Adhigama. This foundation has knowledge as her central subject.
